The Tokyo Motor Show is not the kind of place you would go to buy your classic car, as it is all about the future! It is often dominated by household Japanese brands – think Toyota, Honda and Nissan. However for the 2015 show this November, Subaru will also be vying for attention by unveiling two new concept cars.
The first of these is the next-generation Impreza hatch. Very little has been leaked by Subaru so far, but the model is said to boast excellent functionality and deliver a dynamically sporty drive.
What the majority of petrol heads will be looking forward to however is a first look at the highly anticipated VISIV concept. Its exterior features typical Subaru curves and lines, albeit with a slightly more prominent feel to them, which will most likely be sported by the next generation Subaru Forester.
Amongst some of the concept’s more unusual attributes are scissor doors and a bespoke integrated bike rack. Additionally, the VISIV boasts an upgraded autonomous driving system and an ultra-efficient turbodiesel engine. The auto-drive technology features automatic driving and parking as well as 360 degree crash avoidance.
